Hi all! Joining this community to further my CHEEK-CHEEK KNOWLEDGE!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Super new to chickens! I've been around them intermittently over the years, recently purchased a home, decided in January to get chickens, and just got my little backyard flock on Wednesday, April 27 2022
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Four! (4)
(3) What breeds do you have?
A Black Australorp (that is being quite problematic as of Mon 5/2...), Barred Plymouth Rock, Silver Laced Wyandotte, and an Easter Egger ^__^
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Right now, I'm just so excited they are home, after months of waiting & wanting. They're silly little raptors and I enjoy watching them do their thing. Looking forward to EGGS when they're of age!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Rockhounding, hiking, communicating, bettering myself as an individual
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have two (2) amazing Blue Heelers / Australian Cattle Dogs. They're both ten years old, and such great boys!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Been Googling for information, and relied heavily on this website for my initial research!
