I live in Tempe, AZ and wrote to the city council members about the laws here, laws that will not allow me to have any chickens. Only one wrote back, and he was misimgormed about the laws, told me I could have hens, but the law says I have to have 75 feet between my coop and the closest bedroom. My wife's yard isn't 75 feet wide. Several emails later this guy finally figured out that very thing. I told him that a chicken was nothing compared to the dogs that bark at me whenever I go in my own backyard, or the ruckous raised whenever someone walks their dog thru the neighborhool, sets every stinking dog off in every backyard in the neighborhood. That doesn't matter, all that matters is that no chickens are allowed, noisey dogs are ok though. I sure made a mistake when I got married, moved from a rural area that was zoned agricultural, to this hole. Live, and learn folks.

    Edit:

    Please avoid profanity. Thank you.
