City Girl turned Country

Hi everyone.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and life eventually landed me in Central, North Carolina where I have a home on 4 acres. We have been clearing the land to get it ready to bring my horses home, but in the meantime my husband and I have turned into chicken owners as well.

Along with our horses and chickens, we have 4 dogs and 3 cats...oh and a 17 year old daughter

{how can I forget about her}

During my research about chicken ownership, I found BYC and am glad to be a member as I have an interesting variety of 12 chickens - who seem to be laying pretty well for being about 5 months old.

I guess you can say that I was born in the city but my heart belongs in the country as I love it out here with my myriad of animals.
