City of New Haven CT approves backyard chickens!

    After much discussion, the New Haven alderman approved a backyard chicken ordinance allowing 6 hens per home. When the vote came up, they all clucked in unison to show their approval - it was a unanimous vote.
    For those not familiar, New Haven is a small city, home to Yale University & some sections are VERY urban. [​IMG]

    I'm not sure if I'm surprised or not about New Haven approving chickens. I think I may have to go walk one of my chickens or turkeys on the green later.
