"Click-It" Beetles.

    That's what I call these little beetle like bugs. They are the neatest bug around where I live. They are usually brown, and if they get turned on there back they will pop their back. It sound like a click, but when they do this thrust, or as I like to say a "crunch," it flings it's self into the air and usually lands on its feet. I don't cause harm to them, but i like to hold there abdomen and entertain myself with their clicking. Lol Do you guys know what I am talking about. I'll get a pic for ya.

    [​IMG] Here it is. I call them click-it beetles, (don't ask why, I started this when I was little) and always called them this since. Most other people refer to them as Click-beetles.

    Yeah, we have those. I think the noise is supposed to be a deterrent.

    yup.. click beetles.. I used to play with them as a kid.. i think freaking my sister out with them was more fun than the clicking though...
