Climate change bill

Has anyone else heard about the 1200 page long piece of... Y'know, I don't think I'll say how I feel about this. I might get kicked off.

But honestly, this bill is gonna make EVERYTHING more expensive by increasing energy costs. Call me a freak, but somethin' tells me that this may not be the best time for making things more expensive in the name of something completely unavoidable, natural, and beneficial. How does everyone else fell about this? I hope it fails.

do you realize the bill provides for a government energy audit before you are allowed to sell your house ? this is getting scary.

They claim that the main purpose of the bill is to reduce our depends on petroleum products (oil, coal, etc.) and increase the use of renewable energy sources.

I can see both the benefits (less pollution, cleaner water and air) and the downsize (cost!), so right now I'm on the fence. I'm a science-y person, so I'm kind of leaning towards the benefits side of the bill.
