just curious if anyone has an idea about how high can a chicken fly with clipped wings? I am putting up a fence around my garden and was wondering how high it should be. I was thinking 4ft...Thank you!

THAT SHOULD BE GOOD FOR MOST CHICKENS WITH CLIPPED WINGS HOWEVER I DO HAVE ONE ROOSTER THAT NO MATTER HOW SHORT HIS WINGS ARE HE CAN STILL GET ABOUT SIX FEET IN THE AIR, HES A VERY ACROBATIC EASTER EGGER

Our RIR's both got on top of the shed (about 7 feet) and they are only 9 weeks old. I clipped one wing on each and now they get to about 2-3 feet of air...One of them, the suspected roo, does seems determined to get back to top of the shed again. Today I found out that he doesn't have the sense to come in out of the rain....Chickens.
