Clipping wings

    How early can you start clipping wings? My 4 week olds are getting some good air.

    You probably don't need to worry about clipping wings until they are teens. Maybe 14 weeks or even a little older.

    i use fine-mesh netting. keeps the hawks out and the hens in [​IMG]

    I believe you are supposed to wait until the feathers stop growing. Until then they have blood in them. I'm just going by memory. You might do a search. Somebody who knows better may correct me.
