Well a little back story, we got our 4 hens and roo this past summer (roo was from my dad in michigan) Well our bullmastiff wanted to play with the roo and the roo lost the battle so we bought another one the same day(same color) Ok this morning my wife lets the dogs out and she didnt see that 2 hens and our replacement roo flew over the 4ft fence and our male mastiff attacked the roo and we cought it in time to save the roo so we brought him into the house in a dog crate to make sure he is ok call our vet and was told to keep him inside for 24hrs to keep an eye on him.. So I went outside to clip the girls right flight feathers and as is good, my question is now that the roo had his butt kicked will he still try to fly ovr the fence or is he in need of a trim job too???? I will say he did his job protecting the other hens but we feel bad that he lost the battle!!!
