Egg Auctions are sooo much fun! Thought I'd have one myself.

Up for auction is 1 dozen Appenzeller Spitzhauben Hatching Eggs. I will add some extras.

My hens are all white with the Appenzeller spotting, with the exception of one hen who is more black with white spotting. I almost culled the blacker hen but then I researched this odd hen here in the U.S. and overseas and found that a more black Appenzeller is very rare and highly sought after.

Eggs may throw normal Appenzeller Spitzhauben's or could throw a chick with more black than white, if you're lucky.

My Rooster (Don King) has a massive fro on his head, and is pictured here.

I've culled my chicks and hens to better my breeding birds. They are throwing some great little chicks.

We'll start the bidding at $7.00 for the dozen. Keep in mind you must add $10.00 to the final bid, for packaging and shipping via USPS priority mail.

Auction ends on Thursday at 5:00 pm Central Standard Time. Happy Bidding!!!

Although this isn't the breed I'm most interested in, I wanted to say these are hysterically amazingly eye candy! Love that crown! Pretty pretty birds! Also let me give you props for posting the images of the eggs you are offering.. love it when people do that.

Let the auction carry on.. good luck all!

Quote:Thank you very much for the post. Yes, they are something to look at. All of them have their own personality. We have one hen, named Maude. She has a little more fluff hanging in her eyes than the others. We must "Maude" equip everything. She has a low roost post of her own so she can see to get on it. The nest boxes are at eye level for her so she can see to get in them. The water bowl is hanging at eye level for her. The whole coop revolves around Maude!
