I am hatching my first batch of chicks in an incubator. They are breeds that can be feather sexed at 1-2 days old. Now, I have read that you should leave the chicks in the Bator until they are all hatched up to a couple of days. How can I try to feather sex on the first day if I am not opening the Bator? Any recommendations?

You don't have to leave it closed. I don't anyways. I wait until most are hatched and then quickly get the babies out and let the late ones finish. Usually there is so much humidity from everyone hatching that it doesn't bother the other eggs. I do try to let them dry first so they don't get cold. Good luck!
