Love what you did here. Very good East Texas!I did this exact thing earlier this year! Basically extended my run and added walls as a wind block and new roost bars so there was an extra place for them to sleep when it got hot. (They never sleep there but it's available.)
Added benefit is that it provided extra deep shade under the poop board that they love.
I actually used cheap fence boards from the hardware store and used a nail gun. Comes in variety of heights and it was super easy. Wind block in the winter and shade in the summer. Lots of ventilation because it's still open.
