After lurking for who knows how long (I've wanted chickens for years) I finally decided to join. I came across the site a few years ago when building a garden shed in the city. I am now back to BFE where I grew up and got my first chicken last summer. He was rescued from a quail pen. The little buggers tried eating him alive. His owners thought he was a funny looking quail from a mass hatchery. Turns out he was the friendliest bantam rooster ever. Of course, he needed a harem. The rest is history. Hello everyone!
