Hey Everyone I am new to BYC and to having Chickens in a serious way. I have to separate flocks right now one at 22 Weeks and another at 9 Weeks. We had to get another batch because of Hawks! I need help though. The new flock came in and were healthy but it was cold already so we didnt get them down on the ground so we missed the opportunity to naturally inoculate them from this. They presented with bloody diarrhea and sneezing and coughing. When we realized we gave the Corrid for Calves. We gave it to the big chicks as well. This has been two weeks now and they are still sneezing. Sometimes they still have the blood but not very often. We have tried to put a broody older chick in with them but they are all a little hostel to one another so that didnt work but we have gotten them on the ground in the greenhouse. Since I didnt feel like I could keep going with the Corrid so I have changed to apple cider vinegar in the water which they are loving btw.

So what do I do? I dont want to lose the chicks but I dont want to use antibiotics either!

Welcome to BYC! How much of the Corid did you give and how many days did you give it?

The chicks have seemed to turn a corner on the apple cider vinegar! They are having mostly normal poop with white tops :) We have begun integration with the older chicks now
