Are Cochin Bantams really slow at feathering, my week old cochins barely have wing feathers coming in by my week old OEGB have wing feathers and tails, and does any one have picks of cochins from 1 week and up. so I can see how they grow.

I am going to go with a big yes, Cochins are S...L...O...W.. to feather. I have over 100 chicks in a brooder right now. Some are fully wing feathered with tails at 2 weeks. The Cochins barely have wing tips sticking out and there are no tails what-so-ever. The OEGBs feather fast from what we have seen over the years. They are very hearty little devils.

Confirming - yes they are. Bantam Cornish and Bantam Brahmas are also very slow feathering! [IMG]
