I have a 7 1/2 month old Cochin. She started laying an egg a day for a week now. My nesting boxes are up high. This is my first time with hatching chickens. Do i need to move her and her eggs before she stops laying. Or do ii need to wait until they hatch to move them to a lower box??? She has 4 eggs right now. She is the small Cochin Bantam Breed, i do not think she could sit on much more than 4 eggs... Can anyone help me with this???? Thanks.. :):):)

She is about 3 feet maybe less. She has 6 eggs now. She is so small, how can she sit on more than that...

I ended up taking 11 eggs from her. She would not sit on them. I put 7 in my home made incubator. Only 6 hatched, but the 7th one was just a yolk. How did i miss that one...They are doing well in homemade brooder. They are now 3 1/2 weeks old and so cute
