Yesterday I had a 100% hatch of 8 cochin chicks courtesy of a OEGB surrogate mama. The birth parents are black, blue and slash. The chicks look like to me 4 or 5 blacks, 1 or 2 blues and 2 that I'm not sure of. One is all yellow, and one is all light gray.

    Here is the yellow one:

The same one along with the gray one:

    A black?

The two in question are buff and splash. The rest are black.

Quote:So the yellow one is buff? Seven of the eggs came from a blue roo and 2 hens, a blue and a black. One egg came from a splash roo and a blue hen, so I thought the only possible colors I could get are black, blue and splash.

Is the gray one is a blue?
I am getting 2 Cochin chicks next Wednesday and want to get 1 Buff & 1 Blue. Would like to see what the chicks look like first to make sure I get the right ones.
