Hey all, my blue Cochin hen had two bloody feet this afternoon...I brought her in the house and soaked her in the bath to clean everything up and I saw she has one broken feather on one foot and another ripped out of her other foot. No idea how she did it but I cleaned her feet and put "peck no more" so the other ladies won't peck at her, is there anything else I can do? She is my first and only feather footed girl so I'm new to foot injuries. Thanks!

She probably broke/ripped out the feathers by scratching around, or it is possible that she or another bird plucked them out. Those things happen relatively frequently to feather footed birds, at least in my experience.

You did everything right; her foot should be fine.

Thank you! For further reference I also found that bio gel is good for wounds on poultry! We use it on our horse but never on the chickens it helped tremendously! FYI
