This is the prettiest chick I've hatched ... so naturally it's looking rooish! I wanted your opinions though. This chick is about 6 weeks old. What do you think? Definitely roo or can I hold on to the tenuous hope that it's a pullet?

Also, if it's a rooster ... Anyone in Central Texas want a pretty blue rooster to be loved and admired (and not eaten)? He's a snuggler ...

    Ooooooh he's purddy!

I would take him but my central TX is about 4 hours from your central TX...............

I know I'm 3 hours from Acton/Granbury...... 1.5 hours from Brownwood...... Can't remember from Stephensville, thinking it's 2.5....... Any way you'd be coming toward Brady/Mason/Llano/Burnet/San Saba anytime soon????

Wow- if it is a roo- I'm surprised at what good feathering it has at 6 weeks! Maybe having some silkie genes makes them fill in faster?

Yeah, this guy feathered in SO FAST! I've never seen a chick fluff up so quick. And check out his feet - so puffy! I wish I could keep him.
