My friend picked up some chickens off the side of the road and he gave them to me. Out of the three I am pretty sure there are two roosters and one hen. But I do not know what breed they are, but think they could be cochins. If you could tell me that would be very helpfull. The gray one is a male as he crows but don't know about the black one as I haven't heard a peep out of him, but I'm 99% sure the barred one is a hen.
    Thanks for your help :)

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! They do look like hatchery/pet cochins, the black is a male also, hard to tell for sure with the barred one with the pattern since its feathers are wet, but am pretty sure I see saddle feathers on that one also.

[IMG] Glad you joined us! All of those birds are Cochin/Pekin cockerels--Pekin and Cochin mean the same thing, but Pekin is used more commonly in Europe.

Welcome to BYC! [IMG]We're glad to have you. Your birds do look like Cochin bantams (also called Pekins), and they are all cockerels.

Nice birds - some person thought it was a great idea to dump roosters by the side of the wrong. How nice of you to rescue them.

Actually I am pretty sure they are ex cock fighting birds
as there are cock fighting rings in the area were they were picked up.
    Thanks for your help:)
