I think Pepper is a Hen? Frizzle Cochin
    [IMG]
His is Jefe. I think he looks and acts like a rooster. Also Frizzle Cochin
    [IMG]

Tweety is supposed to be a cochin, also 6 weeks but developing much slower than everyone else. Any guess on sex?

These are silkies also about 6 weeks. Guess sex?
BB (Short for Bare Butt - I think you can guess why)

This is [IMG]Dasapoonsay. I think maybe a rooster. The earlobs are already blue and the comb is pretty large.

    Dasapoonsay and scarlet are cockerals.
and you have a blue laced red wyandotte trio one roo two hens
and a frizzle pair BUT please dont BREED frizzle to frizzle and hatch any eggs PLEASE.
    the chicks will be frazzled.
tweety looks like a cockeral but a little early
BB looks like a pullet but silkies can change sex in a heart beat!
    twix needs a comb shot.

Okay...Thanks you! I will see about another shot of Twix soon. Your guesses were just about what mine were. "Scarlet" is more red than the other two..very nice looking and the Frizzle roo is adorable. I can't keep roosters though so I will look for another home for them. There are many farms around, I'm not one of them though. I will hold onto the silkies for a bit.
Mostly the Frizzle should probably go seen. He actually keeps the female frizzle and little cochin from the food at times. I think the whole group dynamic will be better without him so sooner the better.

Does the blue ear lobes automatically mean cockerels?

nope...not from what I have read...I did notice that with my black and blue silkies who are about 5 months old, the boys got color WAY faster. I'm not expert though. We will see who crows!

all girls but Jefe, Dassaponday or wtvr, and Scarlet look like roos

And no, blue lobes do not mean male. I have a silkie with the brightest blue lobes you will ever see and she is a happy little girl :]

I guess I should re-name Scarlet. And for whoever is interested....my son and I got a little silly. Das-a-poonsay means in our goofy language, "That's a spoon". We about fell over laughing when we decided to make it a chicken name. He was trying to remember all the countries of the world last spring and so we came up with stories to make associations. In our Africa story (for no particular reason) Rwanda and Burundi were a couple of hefty ladies. Hmm...maybe I shouldn't have explained. Now I just sound unbalanced! LOL
