Hey guys, Ugh, I knew trying to get work done with the chooks out and about was going to be a bad idea, but the weather was good today, and I needed to get their ramp weatherproofed. Anyway, I attempted to put them in the coop, but they weren't having it, so I proceeded anyway. Some paint made a tiny little puddle on the ground and my beloved RIR cockerel, Reba, ate some of it. After dipping in for the first time he was frantically trying to wipe it off. I'm sure it tasted terrible. I grabbed him and wiped it off his beak and pried his mouth open and wiped it out of the inside of the lower jaw as well. Is he going to be ok? I love him so much. It wasn't very much, but I still worry. Also, I know people give animals activated charcoal when they eat something poisonous. Is it powdered, or what form do you buy it in? Could someone link me to it?
