Looks like pox.What happened to his face??
It's been that way for a while. As others were getting more pink/red combs and wattles he also got more red. I'm so new to all of this and being barnyard mixes I guess I assumed that was his coloring. He's growing, foraging and extremely social with the other chicks. Should I be worried??What happened to his face??
He does not have any of the spots/bumps described in the 'fowl pox' article on this site. The pics were taken at night inside the coop so maybe bad lighting? They also seem contagious and he sleeps with mama and 11 other chicks for weeks since turning more red and everyone else seems fine. Is there something specific I should be looking for?Looks like pox.
