Cockerel or Pullet? Golden Comets

    3 months old(nearly), got them the day before Easter. Straight run. Hope the pix are good enough to tell gender. Cockerels or pullets? No rooish behavior so far, nor crowing.

    That's what i thought, but no. 1 had me kinda stumped!

    I looked at no. 1 a couple of times too, but those "saddle feathers" are awfully rounded and that comb and wattle are not very big. I still think pullet.

    Golden comets are sex links and the females should be red or red/white checkered and the roos are supposed to be white.

    Kewl, that'll leave me with just one BR roo to rehome(or have for dinner, but really wouldn't want to, since my BR boys are nice) if I decide I need to!!

    Yes, as chicks, but didn't know that was also a fact for half grown/grown ones as well.

    Two of them, as chicks, were nearly white, two were very red.

    Yep. I got 4 and they range from solid red to checkered as 8 month olds. Great birds. Steady layers.
