It's a bit early to be able to tell the sex of a chick. A few more days at the earliest, I'd guess, but it should be obvious by about week 8. What you're looking for at this stage is the appearance of a comb above the beak. Cockerel's develop before pullet's. If you have some other chicks of the same age it becomes easier, because you can compare them.
