I have 2 chicks here that I have no idea what sex they are. They are 3-4 weeks old and are Black copper marans

Pictures 1 and 3 are the same chick
Pictures 2 and 4 are the other one

I am guessing pictures 1,3 male and pictures 2,4 female

    What do you think??

  3. They are really cute. I got to say ones a pullet, ones a roo. I am just not sure what one is the roo. What one is the pullet.[IMG]

I am pretty sure that 1 is a cockerel and 2 is a little pullet.

Poll is at 50/50 haha. However, responses are saying pullet and cockerel. I will keep up with this and post more pics in a couple of weeks... I have about 16 all the same age and another 8 due to hatch tomorrow... I wonder if there is a trick to the day olds. Maybe I will snap a pic or two of those and start a new thread guessing.

I agree based on 1,3 is feathering more slowly (shorter tail, delayed feathers coming in on the wing bows=cockerel) than 2,4=pullets feather in faster.
