I think he's a cockerel, hatched September 16. Both his parents are production red mutts. Whatcha think?[IMG]

Eehh...I'm undecided. That's pretty red for a pullet that age, but nowhere near as developed as I'd expect from a cockerel of that lineage. I have had a red sex link hen start laying at 16 weeks, so I'm leaning toward early pullet. Do you have a better pic? Profile shot would be great!

Yeah, all my others from that brood are smaller peachy combed still tho one is getting rosy. I'll have to stalk some more in a bit, for better pics, tho they'll be in the tree soon. Cold here for a change, they've been going to roost early.

Thanks for taking a peek! If all else fails I guess I will know when it crows or lays.

That would be a cockerel, his comb is way to big to be a pullet at that age.

    I'd say cockerel.

Sorry, you've got yourself a cockerel.

No sorries needed ! Plenty of space! Couple of boys have started a bachelor group too. I adore his 'egg' momma. I been calling him a boy for some time now, just wanted a backup opinion.

    Thanks everyone!
