I have 2 Delaware pullets and 1 Delaware cockerel. They are three weeks old and the cockerel has had scabs on his body in the past week. When i checked on the chicks today i saw that the cockerel had an open wound on his foot that was bleeding. I put a band-aid on it so the other chickens would not get the flavor of the blood and start to attack him. I am really upset and don't know what to do! please help!!!! [IMG]
p.s. they are kept in a big cage with more than 1 and a half square feet per chick. Room doesn't seem to be an issue.

Sounds like your chicken got a lil scratch and the others noticed it. Keep it coverd until it heals because the other chickens wont stop pecking at it.
