I've got a juvenile pen that contains three cockerels. The dominant one is also four weeks older than the other two. I've noticed the two less dominant cockerels tend to hold their tails to the side; the lowest on the pecking order holds his tail WAY to the side, the cockerel in the middle of the peck order holds his just a bit to the side. I've been wondering if this is a submission behavior? (The dominant one is an EE, younger two are Copper Black Marans.)
