surely you don't have any Africans in the flock? that dark stripe down the back of the neck makes me wonder.

Not an easy one to ID but does appear a Grey in genotype and a slight possibility of being split to Buff but unlikely. Do you know the sex of your gosling as it cannot carry Buff if its a female?

The gosling looks like a cross Toulouse with a Dewlap Toulouse male parent but its mother looks like a Toulouse x African or Chinese. I think Toadbriar is correct as the dark stipe on the gosling's neck suggests an African or Chinese in the background of the mother as I think I can see a dark neck stripe area on her too.

She also has a 'black bean' to the tip of the beak whereas pure Toulouse do not (like the male parent). Can you tell us more about the mother's background?
