i hatched 22 chicks yesterday from mixed breeds of too many types to count. it looks like i am going for one of every thing. lol i was interested in one that has a color i am not familiar with. it is a very soft all over light charcoal grey. it looks silkie but just in form . no 4 toes, no black skin. can someone tell me what color to expect from this chick?

Congrats on what sounds like a nice hatch! Do you know what colors the prospective parents could be? off hand splash/blue, lavender/silver and some whites (like White Giants) often look light gray to me to start with...

thank you. yes good hatch. another just hatched two days later and 3 eggs left in bator all alive. i have no chickens this color. i have a few silkies but the one splash was not in the picture as she was busy in the brooder with her two little ones. i have other silkies but they are dark and like i said , only 3 toes . they are all bantam. it looks as if its feet are blue/grey

well, i guess i have forgot how to count to 4. it is a silkie. its wing feathers are coming the same color as its fuzz. does this make it a blue?
