Just got the pics of my silkies that I will pick up next weekend. Can anyone guess at the color they will be or the sex?

Cute! Maybe black or blue. Silkies are VERY hard to sex, so you will have to wait and see. When it is about 12 weeks old try posting in the sexing silkies thread.

Too young to determine gender. The black chick will likely be solid black. The gray chicks will likely be Blue.

The pics aren't great I know but the "blk" chick isn't all blk. body is silvery grey. She just sent me picks of mom and dad. Mom is a blue and dad is a silver partridge

The extended black pattern gene of the Blue is the most dominant pattern in chickens. Partridge is the most recessive. The only way to get partridge from that pairing is if the Blue is carrying it. Otherwise, all chicks will be either Blue or Black.

Doesn't change the fact that mom is extended black pattern with Blue dilute. Hens can't carry pattern genes. Only males can. All chicks will get the extended black pattern gene. Inheritance for the Blue dilute gene is 50/50.
