Are there different names for different colors of peacocks? If there are what are some?
Also, what color is my peacock?

How long will it be before he grows his long tail feathers? He is about 7 or 8 month old now.

Quote:For my graduation present this year my aunt got me this peacock and and a little girl the was smaller than he was (they were about 1 month) and I had them in a crate inside the pen were my chickens were. That first night she got through the bars and got out of the crate and the chickens killed her. [IMG]
I am hoping to get another girl maybe next year. At what age will the hens start laying?

I would not keep them with your chickens as chickens can carry diseases that can kill peafowl . Females usually breed about 2 years of age...

Quote:The chickens were only about 3 months old and I had them separate. It was just the little girl squeezed through the wire. Now my one little boy is in the pen with my guineas. The babies love him, and he thinks he is a guinea. [IMG]
