I have recently found this site and have found the community to be a great and helpful one. One of my recent thoughts has been around a regional social event for folks that keep and raise chickens from a hobby or small breeder perspective. I continue to look for who is doing what in this region and think it would be great to see some faces some time.
So I am just throwing this out for a thought. I am about 40 miles north of Denver near Longmont. I have a very nice very large BBQ that sits idle when I am not either competing in cookoffs or throwing a party.
If I were to cook up something in the pit and others were to bring some sides, I might throw in an adult beverage from one of those large aluminum vessels. They sometimes have a tap attached to them.
If I were to host an event such as this how many folks would show up and just hang out eat some Q, exchange some stories and in general see if ther is a community out there that would like to get together once a year or so.
