Hello everyone. I joined a long time ago after reading a lot of information and having questions about my tiny flock. It's been a while, a lot has changed, and my flock is about to grow. I am building a new coop and working out the details of my management plan. Pretty much all of my bird husbandry research and planning leads me to this forum, from chickens to quail, ducks, etc. so I thought I would become a more active member and share my experiences.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I started with 4 hens, I think it was March 2014. Two Easter Eggers and two White Crested Black Polish.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
3, until March. ~25 more coming March 2020
(3) What breeds do you have?
Easter eggers, White Crested Black Polish, coming soon are Black Australorp, Cuckoo Marans, and Speckled Sussex
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Everything!!!!
