At what age do the colored Ranger roos start crowing? I read that the Cornish X are processed before they crow. I would like to do Rangers instead, but crowing would be an issue in my neighborhood.

    Thanks for any info.

I think they "try" to crow at about 10-12 weeks old. Ask Harp as they have some 12 week old birds right now.

Yeah they try !!! [IMG] Not much of a crow though. You could get away with them in a city or neighborhood environment pretty easily, for noise at least. [IMG] The most noise they make it when they are all at the feeders first thing in the am, as they are all squawking and clucking as they eat and a few roos figuring out pecking order, but still very quite compared to any other poultry I raise.

Thanks for that info... I'm contemplating a pretty small number of birds (5-10).
