I just liked the look of this basket of eggs sitting on the hearth, and snapped a couple of pictures.
In this first one, the colors are a bit saturated, I guess to compensate for the flash washing them out?
This shows the colors true to reality--the ones that look "pink" are just light brown Buff Orpington pullet eggs that have a light chalky-white layer of something over the regular egg color. But aren't they pretty?
