comb and eye

    Our hen has a comb that has all but disappeared. A large fleshy red area on top of head where comb was is now swollen and expands across top of head. Her sight seems affected as well. any advise?

    Could you post a photo? When did you start noticing this? She either has some sort of disease, or has been stung/bitten by an insect.

    Wow, that really is swollen. Poor hen! I honestly don't know what is wrong. I'd just wait and see.

    Is it soft or hard? Did it grow slowly or quick?

    it came on gradually, and the area is hard. most worry some is her depth perception/ sight issues.
