Comb size at young age

I have 2 SLW chicks, born same day, bought from the same seller, but one has a larger, more developed comb, and one has almost no comb at all.
Is this a somewhat dependable indicator of gender, or is this an old wives tale?
Theyre 20 days old.

Definitely NOT an old wives' tale. Feel free to post pictures of your chicks, though almost three weeks is a little young to sex accurately for most unless you have an early bloomer.

And this is #2 with a larger comb.

#1 is rose combed like a Wyandotte should be. #2 is single combed which is why it looks different. Also #2's color doesn't look right for a Silver Laced Wyandotte. Sure that's what it is?
