I went to hang out with my birds this afternoon and noticed that one of my BO hens had black lumps on her wattles, what is up with that?

I agree with scabs. When a hen pecks another too hard, some of the comb will tear and blood will ooze out. When the blood clots and dries, it tends to turn black. Pictures would be helpful, though.

From the pictures, I'd say scabs from being pecked. Most of my girls have those. Not a real problem unless it gets out of hand... a judgement call on your part.

Actually, this looks like fowl pox to me. Take a closer look at your other Hens and see if you can see some black spots on their combs or wattles as well.

Very well could be... I just couldn't tell from the pictures..

Do a search on this forum for it. It is a virus and just has to pass. There is no treatment, and as long as the chicken is healthy, there're usually no issues.
