Complete newbie

We are just now considering getting a chicken coop and my cousin recommended this site. We know nothing about this but are excited to get started.

Prefab store-bought chicken coops...are not worth much.
Be sure to build a walk-in chicken coop and make sure you have at least Foursquare of floor space per each chicken you think you're going to start with.
Always build it bigger.
Bigger is better.

Check out the coop articles here and feel free to ask lots of questions. And remember, bigger is always better! We all suffer from chicken math here, and its quite common. So be sure you have plenty of space in the coop.
