Ok, I got this chick at an auction for 60cents LOL with a white leghorn. There were 3 of them in total, this chicken the WL and one that looked just like this one(it died, so i never found out what it was going to look like). I have never been this stumped, it looked like a SSH as a chick.
    1. It was with other chicks and it was with a pure leghorn so odds are its from a hatchery
    2. It has a single comb SO most likely both parents had SCs
    3. It has blue earlobes
    4. It has slate legs
    5. 4 toes
    6. long body, which suggests gamefowl maybe
    7. no signs of feathers on feet
    8. small crest

Since it has blue ears and was with a white leghorn, I'm guessing WL X Now mixed with what, who knows.

What breeds besides Silkie would give it blue earlobes?

The blue ear lobes suggests that it is probably a silkie mix. The chick sure is a cutie!! [IMG]

Just to answer what breeds have blue ears, my Hamburg pullets have blue. But as we all know you do not have a Hamburg.
