Nice! Can you open the ends to shovel stuff? Free stuff is what goes in the chicken run around here, like pine needles and yard waste. Put something around the bottom so the litter does not go through the large openings of the chain link. Solid metal roofing panels, boards, or hardware cloth will keep small birds in, coons from grabbing birds, and your liter in place.Here is a picture of the concrete pad. It is an old dog pen. I am wondering if I would need to put some kind of ground cover? Perhaps mulch or dirt or gravel? Thanks for your help.
You do need to put some kind of mulch or dirt down. Chickens like to scratch. I would also add a roof. For their safety and for shade.Here is a picture of the concrete pad. It is an old dog pen.
