Saw some condensation on the inside of the coop door. It's a frosty -1 morning. The waterer is directly below the door. Door is single paned wkth frost currently on the outside. I thought I had enough ventilation... can this be normal, even with sufficient Ventilation?[IMG]

Not really......you need to open it up more. And having the waterer directly under the window shouldn't make that much difference - if there's condensation there then there's more condensation you aren't seeing. Is there any way to get the water out of the coop? I keep mine in the run and I'm in cold northern Wyoming not too far from Yellowstone Park.

I don't think I could have the waterer outside, as it got to -36 for a while last year. Everything outside is dripping and soaked right now. I will keep an eye on the condensation. We also haven't installed the coop run door yet.. that could add to the ventilation.

If you have enough ventilation, the temp inside the coop should be about the same as the outside temp. That kind of moisture and condensation inside the coop will pose a real risk for frostbite. Open up the walls a bit more near the roof line.

The condensation was gone after a few hours.
