Hey guys
Anyone got any ideas how to recreate this colour in my Belgian duccles? He was a random pop up in my mixed pen, but I don’t have any milles at all, I would say going by the food feathering he is from my lavender mottle cockerel
And my cuckoo hen?

What other varieties do you have in that pen? He is barred (cuckoo) buff columbian. Mille fleur, for example, is mottled buff columbian. Do you have any porcelains?

I do have some porcelains as the only other colour in the pen , except I ruled them out as none of them have the extravagant foot feathering he has which I had deemed come from the lavender mottle boy and the cuckoo hen is my only barred bird

He has a porcelain parent. Porcelain is mottled lavender buff columbian, so it’s the only one who could’ve given him his buff pattern. Lavender mottled is just black under the lavender.

For your project, do you want to add mottling or just keep the buff cuckoo coloration? This cockerel does not have mottling.
