Confirm my fears

    These are my first chickens but I'm pretty sure Wilma is really Wilbur. She is 18 weeks old. No crowing yet but some strange noises.

    That's a pullet. She probably making noises because she is nearing egg-laying maturity. [​IMG]

    Yep, pullet. My easter eggers make some really strange growlie noises. It doesn't sound like crowing, but it doesn't sound like typical hen noises either.

    Those strange noises could be the egg song. (I vote pullet)
