confused!!

We have a 24 week old red sex link that hasnt laid an egg in a week and a half. she was laying an egg a day for almost 2 and half weeks prior. she gets in the nesting box and sits in there for 45 minutes or so just like she would do when she was laying but she doesnt leave an egg. someone told me she was moulting but she isnt losing any feathers or anything. Anyone have any idea?

I have an EE who just started laying on August 4th. She never missed a day until this week. She didn't lay an egg for 5 days, and today....She started laying again. I'm not sure how old your RSL is, but that could be why.

she is 24 weeks. it just puzzles me

She could just be taking a break. My EE did that, and just started up again. I was worried something was wrong with her, but she is healthy, happy bird. She's too young to molt.

Just keep an eye on her.

24 weeks...she's just starting to lay so they can be erratic.Feel lucky at that age your getting any eggs from her..As she matures she will become constant for you.
