two of our hens have been laying every other day for a week or so now... alternating, so out of 8 hens we have been getting 7 eggs each day( granted, there has been an increase in the number of double yolks lately)... yesterday we got nine and the ninth was all wrinkly and flat on one side... it look almost like it had come out soft, and hardened as it sat in the nest... should I be worried, or should I consider it to just be a fluke?

you'll probably get some oddball eggs from time to time. if you ask me, nothing to worry about. Although if one hen keeps laying eggs like that, then theres probably something wrong.

Thanks... I was a little worried, because I recall reading somewhere about a chicken disease that can cause wrinkly eggs... so there is no need to be alarmed by 1 egg.. save the worry for when there are a bunch

It's normal to get an occasional oddball, as uncle rico stated, especially if they're new layers. They need to work the kinks out of their plumbing.
