Constructing duck pen....thoughts?

Hi all, we've built a 10'x10'x6' duck pen for our two young girls out of 1 1/2" PVC. Frame is complete. Bottom 3' will be 1" hardware cloth, the rest, 1" chicken wire.

We have no raccoon, possum, but do have neighborhood cats, rats/mice, the occasional hawk and occasional owl.

Roof will be enclosed in chicken wire then an additional shade cloth, tarp, or something along those lines pending winter when I will look into corrugated plastic roofing. Girls will be sleeping inside our home at night.

Sound good?

the rodents shouldn't cause any problems to the ducks they will however try to get to the food and that might attract cats
other that that it sounds good

Sounds fairly good to me with them sleeping inside. I'd still put in kind of ground cover though to prevent diggers just in case a raccoon happened to appear or a dog. So if you ever had a late night unexpectedly the ducks would still be fairly safe from a nighttime prowler
