Construction has commenced!!! IT'S DONE!! New pics 07-03-09!!!

Yesterday afternoon my husband started work on the new chicken house!!

It's going to be 10'X12'... a little bigger than what he first thought. I absolutely can't wait until it's done! It's going to be so awesome!!

Here's what it looks like so far... not too much yet, but it's a start!

Yesterday he got the floor joists all put together...

And today he put the plywood for the floor on and started framing for a wall.

Only thing I would suggest is to put another board on the other side of the splices. You may fins the floor a bit "spongy" to walk on. Good start though.

Looks like your building it inside. Are you gona be able to move it out later or is it being done in sections?

Looks great so far.
I suggest his moving the floor out of the garage to where it's going to be permanently. You can't imagine what just that floor weighs already if you haven't lifted it. If he's planning to build the walls away from the final site, he'd better have some strong buddies, and lots of them.
